Bugs BunnyBugs Bunny in “Barbary-Coast Bunny” (1956)
Bugs is tunneling across country to see his cousin only to run head first into a boulder of gold. Nasty Canasta tricks Bugs Bunny, disappearing with his gold. Six months later, Canasta used his ill-gotten gains to start a casino in San Francisco. Bugs makes a visit to Canasta’s rundown casino and takes back his gold by beating Nasty in a number of games rigged in the house's favor. As Bugs' departs with seemingly the entire casino's funds and more, Canasta greedily tries to win money using his gun, only to shoot himself in the attempt, and collapses. Bugs ends the episode: "The moral of this story is, 'Don't try to steal no 18 karats [carrots] from no rabbit.'"
