Throwing Some Curves Signed By Yogi Berra AP1/5This is a limited edition hand painted cel titled "Throwing Some Curve Balls" featuring the Looney Tunes character "Bugs Bunny". This scene was recreated from the Looney Tunes theatrical cartoon short "Baseball Bugs" released on February 2, 1946 starring Bugs Bunny. In this short, Bugs plays a wacky game against the Gas-House Gorillas. The characters have been hand painted onto a piece of acetate and mounted to a printed production background. A hand painted replica scoreboard from the game is included with this piece. The image has been signed by baseball legend Yogi Berra. LAWRENCE PETER "YOGI" BERRA (b. 1925) is a former American Major League Baseball catcher, outfielder, and manager. He played almost his entire 19-year baseball career (1946-1965) for the New York Yankees. Berra was one of only four players to be named the Most Valuable Player of the American League three times and one of only six managers to lead both American and National League teams to the World Series. He was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. Berra is widely regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. "Throwing Some Curves" is also inscribed by Yogi Berra, "90% of the game is half mental".
